Tuesday 31st May 2011

ESE wind and swell this morning, making conditions really ugly. The swell has picked up a bit to be around the 4-5ft mark, but the weather conditions are making it pretty un-surfable. Don't even think it is worth a search today, good rest day.

Monday 30th May 2011

Waves have dropped a little more to around the 3-4ft mark, they are also really bunched from the SE and with the stormy conditions look a little messy. The wind is from the S, but not blowing too hard but in saying that not blowing too lightly either. More searching today if your keen and those protected southern corners will be your best bet.

Sunday 29th May 2011

Pretty similar to last few days with the swell maybe even picking up a little to be around the 4-5ft mark from the SE. The wind is actually NOT blowing to hard but it is out of the SSW with again a lot of cloud to the S. So the conditions are pretty clean, but the beachies are not handling too well today, so maybe a bit of searching to be done.

Saturday 28th May 2011

Swell still hanging around the 4ft mark from the SE. The wind is out of the SSW, but there is a lot of cloud built up to the S, so expect the wind to swing a little more that way throughout the day. At the moment tit is still relatively clean so if your heading out best to hit it as early as possible.

Friday 27th May 2011

Swell has again backed off a little more and is around the 3-4ft mark from the SE. The waves are looking a little bunched due to the small period swell but has consistent lines coming through. Waves are also pretty clean with a light W wind blowing. Much better looking day and with the waves a lot more user friendly it is definitely worth getting wet.

Thursday 26th May 2011

Still looking a little stormy out there with the waves settling down a little bit but still around the 6ft mark from the SE. It is still a little bit too big for the beachies, but may find some rideable waves in those protected southern corners or reefs. The wind is still pretty strong from the S and the weather is still not too good with a few showers still around.

Tuesday May 25th 2011

Well the swell has arrived, brought in by a gale force S wind and storm. the swell is 6ft+ from the SSE and looks pretty unrideable. Very stormy conditions with consistent rain periods and a messy swell. Not sure if it is even worth looking around today and may be worth holding out till the wind and swell sort themselves out.

Tuesady 24th May 2011

Really small today with it hardly breaking, it is around the 1ft mark out of the E. The wind is pretty light at the moment out of the WNW. The day is also pretty overcast, so all in all not much happening today and probably worth waiting for the predicted spike in the swell tomorrow. Lets hope anyway.

Monday, May 23, 2011

Monday 23rd May 2011

Again pretty similar to the last couple of days with consistent 2ft lines of ENE swell accompanied by a light WNW wind. The waves still have some really nice shape but just lacking that little bit of power. The weather is really overcast and may even be a bit of rain. Still it is offshore and a couple of little ones so if you have the time still worth getting out there.

Sunday, May 22, 2011

Sunday 22nd May 2011

Pretty similar to yesterday with consistent 2ft lines of swell coming through from the ENE. Pretty low tide at the moment which is helping the waves to break but making them quite fast, they have some pretty good shape but just lacking a little push. The wind is out of the WNW so it is pretty clean and not a bad looking day with a bit of scattered cloud but could be some rain this afternoon.

Saturday, May 21, 2011

Saturday 21st May 2011

A small ENE swell looks like it is trying to come in mostly around the 2ft mark with the odd bigger set. There are a couple of nice running lefts even though it is a little on the smaller side. The waves are pretty clean with a light W wind. Another nice looking day, so probably still worth getting out there.

Friday, May 20, 2011

Friday 20th May 2011

Well the 4 week run of swell has finally ended with the waves around the 2ft mark from the E. it is looking much like summer conditions this morning with really dribbley waves lacking any power at all, the low tide is not helping it much either. The wind is a light W and the day is looking really nice. If you are surfed out it is a good day for a rest but if your still keen you might just have to work for your waves.

Thursday, May 19, 2011

Thursday 19th May 2011

Swell has dropped pretty quick and a lot more user friendly today, it has also changed direction a bit to be out of the ESE, so it is a lot straighter than the last week and with this slight swell direction change it has a bit of a bump through it, hopefully this should sort itself out pretty quick. Waves are around the 3-4ft mark, accompanied by a nice light W wind. Pretty good looking day again and while there is still some swell left it is still worth getting wet.

Wednesday, May 18, 2011

Wednesday 18th May 2011

The predicted swell increase has certainly arrived with consistent 6-8ft lines of swell coming through. Obviously the beachies are not really handling and like the last few days might have to be a bit of searching done to find those reef/points that can handle the swell. The wind has continued its trend out of the SW and if it stays pretty light and mostly out of the W should be a pretty good and tiring day of surfing.

Tuesday, May 17, 2011

Tuesday 17th May 2011

Swell is still hanging in there and maybe even kicked in a little bit with 4-6ft lines of swell coming in from the SE. There is a little wait bit when the sets come it is pretty solid. The beachies are just handling but a really hard paddle and may be worth a little search today. The wind is from the SW but feels like it may swing more to the S, so best off hit it early as possible. Pretty good looking day also.

Monday, May 16, 2011

Monday 16th May 2011

Swell has dropped a little to be around 4-5ft from the SE, the small drop in swell has actually helped clean up the swell which was a little lumpy early yesterday. So it seems to have a more defined direction, however the beachies are still finding it hard to hold the size, so may be a little bit of searching today also. The wind is still out of the W and is very light and is a nice looking day.

Sunday, May 15, 2011

Sunday 15th May 2011

A solid SE swell has come in around the 6ft+ mark, accompanied by a light WSW wind. The beachies do not seem to be handling it too well so may have to search a bit today, it also seems to be sorting itself out a bit as it seems to have a bit of morning sickness. So there are plenty of waves around just may need to do a bit of searching.
